And the winner is…..Flo Somers!!

Spring has sprung and the 3rd June can be clearly seen on the horizon.  This can only mean one thing; it’s time to announce this year’s winner of our poster competition!  Each year the talented year 8 students at King’s School produce some amazing artwork, all competing to have theirs chosen by the panel of judges to be used to promote the Ottery St Mary Food and Families Festival.  This year’s influence is the 18th century Japanese artist Hokusai and some 200 students contributed their work.

The festival team are delighted to announce that the 2017 winner is… Flo Somers!!  The judges were really impressed with the design and the vibrancy of the colours. Congratulations Flo, your work will be used on the festival posters and programme, and will soon be seen all over the town!

Festival director, Ruud Jansen Venneboer said: “Working together each year with the King’s School on this is just one of the hugely enjoyable things that makes this Festival a true community event. And each year, the posters look simply stunning! Well done to all the students who took part.”

This year’s festival takes place on Saturday 3rd June 2017.  Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with the latest news and what to expect on the day.
